Review Preface
The book Review of Itihas ka muayana (इतिहास का मुआयना) is totally based on the understanding of the reader. this book gives a new perspective to a total of 262 such things, which can more or less be said to unveil 262 absurd myths. It also provides us with a brand new perspective of looking at history once again. As it’s been ingrained in our Psyche since our childhoods, that the Sanskrit language is ancient or primitive. That it has been the mother of all languages. That the Puranas are very ancient. We are taught that in ancient as well as in contemporary periods, India is seen as the world’s teacher (विश्वा गुरु). However, the precise reason behind the case is not yet clear. Even somehow, in bits and pieces, we tend to research the basis of claimed assertion (i.e. India being the world’s teacher). It simply traced back to the Vedic period in its absurdity & ambiguities.
Book review
इतिहास का मुआयना ( Itihash ka Muayana ) book written in simple language, in the colloquial language of the common people. Without influencing history with any ideology. The technique is of the arguments. The logical, rational and archaeological pieces of evidence are the foundation of the boom. In the book, the author talks about the Indus Valley, the Buddhist Civilization, the Maurya period, the Vedic period, the Shunga and Gupta period, the medieval period, Modern times, and the history of languages. The author also touches upon the ancient matriarchal/matrilineal setup with a comparatively patriarchal/patrilineal setup of our society.
The story has been passed down to our society/community in a particular way which states that there was only one Buddha Indian Land. The fact that taught about the death of the Buddha. However, interestingly book captures the perspective which also argues about the fact that the Buddha was killed and contaminated his food. they write that a lot of things have been heard about the theft, But someone’s village has been stolen, and they have heard it for the first time, Author was talking about Budhha’s village.
Despite the matter of India being a world guru, historians ask such questions as who taught the world? Who is the one whose statues were installed and later excavated, all over the world?
In basic Indian history, we have been taught that the decline of the Mauryan Empire was due to the adoption of Buddhist policy, in the book author questions the intention and understanding of the intellectuals and historians of India. And cross verifies the established fact about the decline of the Maurya Empire and asks the reason behind this fact claimed in the first place. Which is nonetheless, constantly targeting the existence & possibility of Buddhist policy. Furthermore, with some historical facts, the author also highlights key points stating the timeline of the decline of the Maurya Empire. Meanwhile creating the relationship between Ashoka & the Mauryan empire. That decline itself should have happened at the time of Ashoka himself.
Though it was never the case, claims इतिहास का मुआयना. On the contrary, it asserts that, during the time of emperor Ashoka, the Maurya Empire flourished and became more prosperous instead. One of the many other reasons which talk about is that the decline of the Mauryan period was due to the abandonment of Buddhist policies by Ashoka’s descents.
Thus, this book unveils many primitive & prominent myths. As Dr B.R Ambedkar(Babasaheb)rightly observed in his speech on the Annihilation of caste, “You will be sorry to know that the intelligentsia in India is another name for the Brahmin caste.” It needs not to be a surprising fact, about the way history is being told & written.
This book was published by a renowned publishing house called, “Samyak Prakashan House”. The book is available only in the Hindi language, in paperback. It has a total of 126 pages. Which can be read in one sitting. Print & paper quality is average. If you also want to buy it just click on Amazon and you will redirect to the Amazon website.
