Review Preface
Book Review Khoye hue buddha ki Khoj (खोए हुए बुद्ध की खोज) is our attempt to connect our community with Bahujan books and Bahujan authors. If we write 2 * 2 = 3 or 5 instead of 2 * 2 = 4, then no mathematician in the world can write the table of 2 correctly. Meaning, if any formula or theorem of mathematics has been started wrong, then their outcome may vary. Something similar happens with history or to be precise, it has happened with the history of India. If you find it on the map of the whole world, then you will not find the biblical era or biblical period or Quran era or Quran period is not taught. But India is a unique country where after the Indus Valley Civilization we’ve been taught the Vedic period or the Vedic age. Friends, this book does the work of removing the veils from such deceit and mischief of historians.
This book Khoye hue buddha ki Khoj (खोए हुए बुद्ध की खोज) is a collection of comments made on Facebook. the author wrote that this book is not complete in itself, but I believe that this book can prove to be the foundation of many complete books. The book is divided into 4 perspectives of Gautama Buddha. First is, the international perspective of Buddha, and second is the perspective of the Buddhist site. Third is of Buddhist inscription and lastly fourth is a new perspective of Buddha. This book is trying to establish the connection between the Indus Valley Civilization and the Mauryan empire according to the author’s connection between Buddhist civilization and the Mauryan empire which has been deliberately ignored by historians influenced by one ideology. We always read in history that Buddhism emerged in reaction to Vedic dharma or Sanatana dharma, but the Author of this book does not endorse this theory. While countering this theory Author put his argument that “The development of Buddhism in India was not in reaction to the Vedic religion, otherwise what was the Vedic religion in China and Japan?” You can understand this from the example of the question asked by the author in the book such as, “Does any civilization move from urban life to rural life? In the Vedic age of northern India instead of the luxurious buildings of the big cities of the Indus Valley. Suddenly the huts of hell grown? We’ve read in history that the writing art was developed in the Indus Valley Civilization and then it starts falling into the Vedic culture after that the writing part was not developed in the Vedic era. So what went wrong? Did Civilization suddenly become illiterate? Many such examples & question is engraved in this book. Perhaps, you might have too heard about this misinformation. I have heard since childhood that there is a ghost and spirit on the Peepal tree. It invests, we should not go even near that tree, so the people of Vedic culture associated that peepal tree, which is a sign of the Indus Valley Civilization, under which Gautam Buddha got enlightenment, it got associated with such rubbish superstitions. To see such fine adulteration, it takes a Newton-like vision and understanding, which is present in an awakened writer like Dr Rajendra Prasad Singh.
